Bloggers in the House

There are almost 30 bloggers in the Atlanta area that I know of. I’m sure that there are actually more that I don’t know of. We have blogger dinners every so often, but the problem is that when the group is so big, you only really get to talk to those seated directly around you. So someone had the idea of having a potluck dinner instead of going to a restaurant and that way we’d be able to all talk. I decided to host our first one at my house last night.

In attendance were:

Emily (who doesn’t blog anymore) and Tina,

Stacy, Carol and Traci,

Laura (who doesn’t blog anymore), Alayna and Laura.

Needless to say, there was plenty of good food.

For some reason, I didn’t get a picture of everything, but we had:

• Greek Salad
• a Japanese Sweet Potato dish
• Broccoli Salad
• Spinach Balls
• Spinach and Artichoke Dip
• Olive tapenade on toasts
• Brie and apples on water crackers

Those were the main dishes. For dessert, there was also:

• zucchini muffins
• chocolate sea salt cookies
• nutella sandwich cookies
• carrot cake

I didn’t get a picture of my dessert plate. Probably because I was too busy stuffing it into my mouth. Everything was delicious. My contribution was the spinach and artichoke dip. I used this recipe from Iowa Girl Eats, only I tweaked it just a tad. I used 8 oz of both fat-free sour cream and low-fat cream cheese instead of 6 because they both came in 8 oz containers and I didn’t want to have a little bit of each leftover. I also omitted the 1/2 cup of mozzarella on top because I didn’t really think it needed it.

A fun night. Murphy really enjoyed eight new friends petting him too.
